Condition Report:

Mounted to a board with hide glue
Severe discoloration and deterioration due to acidity of board and glue
Losses in upper corner corners

Completed Treatment

Dry Cleaned Recto and Verso
Mount removal until the glue was exposed
Washed in room temperature distilled water
Whitened with UV Lights
Tears were repaired with .15mm mulberry Kashi
Infilled areas of loss
Full Lining with .15mm Washi Kozu happened in June of 2018

Things I would change

I would definitely have filled in the loss area at the bottom of the piece. At the time I was in the midst of an international move and the area had no vertical tears in towards the image itself and was the border of the mat area. Later I had to go back and line the full piece as it had developed some weakened areas. Learning is my favorite thing about work, we can always get better.
