Condition Report

• Staining around edges, and in middle of map from oil
• Loss of edge material
• Tearing and buckling of map from linen liner

Completed Treatment

• Dry cleaned recto
• 15 minute bath in warm deionized water
• Removed linen liner
• 10 minute bath in warm deionized water to rinse glue off
• Air dried for 24 hours
• Mended tears with heat set tissue on verso
• Mended scarf tears with paste and tacking iron
• Fill loss on bottom left corner and right side
• Toned man made paper to match middle green section
• Fill loss with toned tissue
• Encapsulated in 3mm mylar sheets
