• Uniform oxidation

Completed Treatment

• Dry cleaned Verso and Recto
• Deacidified in a %0.1 Calcium Hydroxide solution
• Washed in room temperature distilled water
• Whitened with a 1% Hydrogen Peroxide solution
• Sized in a 3% Carboxy Methyl Cellulose solution
• Filler material toned and added to the paper after it was cleaned due to some loss that occurred during the whitening process
• Infill of lost material with black gouache thinned with Methyl Cellulose
